The film touches on the issue of ill health, irreversible degenerative diseases, male identity and decisions made to maintain dignity. The film highlights a trend prevalent in Ireland and Worldwide at this time of hardship, where people see no light or hope at the end of a long tunnel. The film questions ethical, moral, social and human behavior towards suicide. As a piece it unfolds over the course of our protagonist’s weekend. Where he spends time alone in a foreign city, the characters he encounters and the absence of any intimate personal communication. It’s a very silent piece as we are dragged into his empty world.
